Our growth has been fuelled by investment from Riverside PE, a leading US Private Equity firm who have a strong track record in supporting disruptive and ambitious businesses to become market leaders. As part of this growth we are increasing our investment in Germany from 2020 onwards.


About the opportunity

 

As part of our ongoing business growth and development strategy Guestline are now investing in key countries around the world, including Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland. To support this growth Guestline are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager for the DACH region based in Munich, Germany to generate high value sales to independent hotel clients.

 

Reporting to the Director of Business Development for DACH this role is responsible for the full sales life cycle, this is a hands-on role that will include the identification, qualification and maximisation of new business opportunities, leading to the negotiation of business solution sales at all levels throughout the DACH region. Furthermore, this person will support with creating and/or translating marketing material in collaboration with the international marketing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant contribution within an established organisation, where consistently strong performance is well rewarded.

 

To provide the best possible service to our customers the ideal candidate should have a sound working knowledge of Hotel PMS, distribution or PoS systems.

 

Here’s a taster of what we want you to do

 

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting information to the business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our target clients and groups
  • Understand and articulate the value proposition of our solutions
  • Disseminate product information and return on investment to prospects
  • Building and maintaining a CRM database
  • Scheduling of appointments, meetings, and demonstrations
  • Taking leads from our marketing and lead generation teams to drive new sales
  • Attending trade shows, forums, and conferences
  • Be highly proactive and search our opportunities to develop business
  • Increase the profile of Guestline throughout the DACH region
  • Create and/or translate marketing content for LinkedIn, blogs, e-books
  • Conduct market research on competitor products

 

About you

 

  • You’re unwaveringly customer-focused – you put a customer lens on all that you do. You have the ability to understand the problems of our target customers and translate them into actionable insights
  • You’re Tech- savvy – whilst you don’t need to be able to code, we like our Guestliners to be tech-savvy enough to understand the nuances and workings of our technologies
  • You’re prepared to drive change – You use learning techniques, soft skills and lead by example to inject new ways of thinking wherever needed
  • You’ve got a curious mind – you read around your subject and default to open when it comes to sharing knowledge
  • You're great with languages - German is your first language and you're fluent in English
  • You’re great with people – you understand how to get the best out of people, delivering a message right and influencing across different teams and stakeholders; from Engineers to Sales to c-suite, customers and third parties
  • You hit your target – Hitting, surpassing, and setting new targets is second nature to you. You are motivated by your sales figures and providing a fantastic service to your clients
